Dr. Rice will take you step-by-step through constructing your own financial plan. You will be working with your own situation, not some theory or case study, so every part of the course will be relevant to you.
You will create your own financial statements, investment policy, tax plan, retirement plan, risk assessment, and estate situation. You will create a detailed plan on the actions you need to take to make your financial life the best it possibly can be. See the course outline for details. You will be working hard all day on your own situation so by the end of the day you will have a solid financial plan when you walk out the door. This is a workshop, not a lecture. You will be punching numbers in a calculator and writing in your workbook, not just sitting and listening.
And if you already have some of these pieces, or even all of them, by the end of class, you will have checked them, adjusted those that need it, investigated your options and opportunities, and received answers to those pesky nagging questions that lurk in the back of your mind. This is where you identify the key things that have so much impact on your financial life and see if you are on track, have missed anything, or need to make a few changes.
At the end of the day, you will have a totally different perspective on your financial life.
